TERENCE DIAMOND

Terence is an Irish citizen by descent, a trans writer, story-teller, and playwright; an arts critic, and an experimental novelist residing in New York City. He is the author of many trans and queer themed plays, short fiction and a full-length work of experimental narrative, Big Pink Meat. An excerpt, Tomboy of the Western World was anthologized in 2012 Topside Press’ Lambda Award winning “The Collection.” His current project is entitled, Fortunate Son.
Terence’s dramatic work has been presented in many Off-Off-Broadway venues including The Theatre for the New City, The Philadelphia Fringe Festival, WOW Café Theater, The Irish Repertory Theatre, Nuyorican Poets Café, Dixon Place, La Mama, The Neighborhood Playhouse, and Chashama. Terence performed in his monologue play Ecstasy/Treason at TNC's 2013 Dream-Up Festival. His play, Hans My Hermaphroditic Hedgehog ran at the WOW Café Theater, October 2016. Terence appeared in Annie Dorsen's Slow Room in 2018 at NY Performance Space.
Terence is an associate member of the Dramatists Guild and a former Assistant Professor of English at Long Island University. He currently consults as a grants manager at a museum in NYC.
